Hello! I’m James Bacon, the founder of Harry's Helpers, a organisation inspired by our son, Harry, who is on the autistic spectrum. My wife and I encountered significant challenges in finding the right support and navigating the EHCP process. We started Harry's Helpers to help other families avoid the same struggles, providing them with the resources and guidance we needed.
With a strong background in running my own business and extensive experience in the corporate world, I am driven by a hands-on approach and a commitment to supporting families. My professional journey has equipped me with a unique blend of knowledge and a legal mindset, which I use to advocate fiercely for those in need. At Harry's Helpers, we are dedicated to making sure no family has to fight alone, offering support every step of the way.
Hello! I’m Charlotte Bacon, our son Harry is on the autistic spectrum. My husband, James, and I faced many challenges in finding the right support and navigating the EHCP process for Harry. We created Harry's Helpers to help other families avoid the same struggles by providing the resources and guidance we needed.
As a mum, I bring a personal and heartfelt perspective to raising a child with special needs. I understand the daily ups and downs of advocating for your child and navigating the complex support system. My experiences have taught me the value of empathy, patience, and resilience. At Harry's Helpers, I’m committed to supporting other mums and families on their journey, ensuring they have a compassionate and understanding ally every step of the way.
Hello ! I'm Jessica Whiteley, also co-founder of Harry's Helpers, I’ve been passionate about the childcare sector since leaving college, and I’ve dedicated the past 14 years to it. After studying Level 3 Childcare, I pursued a BA in Early Childhood Studies at university. Following my studies, I gained valuable international experience, including an exciting stint on the Disney Cruise Line, which was an incredible adventure!
Upon returning to the UK, I landed a position in London with LEYF Nurseries, where I spent four and a half years, first as a Deputy Nursery Manager and then as a Nursery Manager. Working with LEYF was an enriching experience that solidified my desire to make a meaningful impact in early childhood education.
Driven by a lifelong dream to run my own business, I took the leap and started my own nursery. It has been an incredibly rewarding journey, and I haven't looked back since!
